Beyond the Specs: 30 Years of Silent Engineering and the Legacy We Are Carrying Forward
Updated: Aug 27
Thirty years ago, when a national scientific research institute encountered a severe technical hurdle in advanced thin-film deposition, they turned to the Electrical Engineering department at Tsinghua University—one of the world's premier engineering institutions—seeking a breakthrough. The department head recommended one of his top scholars to lead the project: my father.
That single initiative launched a 30-year journey. Solving that complex physics challenge introduced him to the intricacies of vacuum deposition, setting a standard of engineering rigor that would define our family enterprise for decades to come.
He didn't start the company with a venture capital pitch or a flashy marketing campaign. He started with blueprints, pure research, and a simple core philosophy: if you build a machine with uncompromised precision, the engineering will speak for itself.

Pioneering an Industry from the Ground Up
Our family enterprise was never just another equipment fabricator; it grew into a true pioneer of advanced PVD coating platforms. With a technical foundation laid by one of the vacuum deposition industry’s earliest engineers, our decades of deep expertise drive every machine we build—delivering unmatched structural safety, vacuum integrity, and film consistency.
Growing up around our engineering facilities, the sights and sounds were distinct: the rhythmic hum of vacuum pumps, the deep blue glow of plasma inside testing chambers, and long nights spent fine-tuning magnetron sputtering targets to achieve uniform plasma distribution down to the nanometer.
Without a dedicated sales team or a marketing budget, word-of-mouth became our primary growth engine. When global manufacturing leaders faced extreme technical demands, they came directly to our engineering team because they knew our machines were built by people who refused to cut corners:
The Emblem of Trust: When one of the world’s most iconic smartphone giants needed a specialized coating solution for the brand logo on its flagship devices, they selected our platforms. A brand logo represents the ultimate visual benchmark—requiring flawless color consistency, zero defect tolerance, and extreme batch-to-batch repeatability across millions of units.
Global Internal Referral: When an iconic, tier-1 international sanitaryware manufacturer installed its first system from us, the performance spoke for itself. Engineer-to-engineer, word spread through internal channels. Over time, their independent overseas subsidiaries across multiple continents reached out one by one, requesting the exact same engineered platforms for their regional facilities.
Seeing the World, Looking Back Home
After completing my education in the United States, I spent years living and working abroad. As I observed the global manufacturing landscape, I noticed a persistent dilemma facing factory owners worldwide.
On one hand, European equipment suppliers held a near-monopoly on high-end perception. Their engineering was undeniably solid, but their pricing carried heavy corporate overheads, placing top-tier technology out of reach for many growing manufacturers. On the other hand, the market was flooded with budget machines that compromised on component quality, vacuum stability, and long-term operational reliability.
I looked back at what our parents had built over 30 years:
Heavy-duty vacuum chambers engineered with tolerances matching the world's strictest standards.
Custom-built deposition processes tailored to intricate component geometries.
Machines running continuously in demanding industrial environments for over a decade without degradation in film adhesion.
The technology was already proven on the world stage. What was missing was a direct, international bridge to connect this 30-year engineering legacy with global manufacturers who needed uncompromising quality without the European brand premium.
Why We Founded Celli Tech
This year, I established Celli Tech as the global commercial headquarter in Hong Kong.
Celli Tech is not a traditional trading firm or distributor. It is the dedicated international commercial arm of a 30-year family engineering craft.
My mission is straightforward: to bring high-precision, custom-engineered PVD coating systems to the global market with complete transparency, direct engineering support, and honest pricing.
I believe that high-end manufacturing shouldn't require paying double simply for a European label, nor should it mean taking a gamble on low-cost alternatives that fail under heavy industrial use. By pairing our state-of-the-art specialized manufacturing center with our Hong Kong international operational hub, we offer systems that deliver European-level performance at roughly half the capital expenditure.
Our Promise as the Second Generation
Carrying forward a family enterprise built on 30 years of quiet dedication comes with a deep sense of responsibility.
We aren't here to push mass-produced, off-the-shelf catalog machines. Every system Celli Tech delivers is custom-configured based on your specific application—whether you are coating precision cutting tools, high-end architectural hardware, or next-generation energy components.
Real engineering isn't loud. It is measured in uptime, film density, cycle efficiency, and decades of reliable service.
If you value straightforward technical dialogue, transparent performance data, and equipment built by engineers who truly care about the physics inside the chamber, we welcome you to reach out. We would be honored to share our story—and more importantly, to help you build yours.
